Une création musicale de Sarah Murcia d’après le roman de William Faulkner « Tandis que j’agonise », avec la collaboration artistique de Fanny de Chaillé.
Après l’expérience vécue avec « Never Mind the Future », Sarah Murcia a souhaité continuer à creuser un sillon à la fois musical et dramaturgique avec le même groupe. Mais la situation est très différente, puisqu’il s’agit ici de travailler à partir d’une œuvre littéraire.
Tout l’enjeu est de construire un récit musical pour la scène à partir d’un roman, dont sont tirées à la fois des chansons, de la musique et une narration. Au delà d’une adaptation de l’œuvre, il s’agit de n’en conserver que certaines traces qui constitueront une vision personnelle, notamment à travers les monologues intérieurs des personnages de Faulkner qui forment l’ossature de ce véritable concert-spectacle.

After the experience with « Never Mind the Future », Sarah Murcia wanted to continue to dig a musical and dramatic path with the same group. But the situation is very different, since this work is based on a literary work.
The challenge is to build a musical story for the stage from a novel, from which songs, music and narration are drawn. Beyond an adaptation of the work, the question is to keep only certain traces that will constitute a personal vision, notably through the interior monologues of Faulkner’s characters which form the backbone of this real concert-show.
